Agreement to these terms

By placing an order or using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Orders and pricing

All prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable sales tax, which is calculated at checkout. We do our best to keep pricing and availability accurate, but if an item is mispriced or out of stock after you order, we will contact you and either correct it with your approval or refund you in full.

We reserve the right to limit quantities or refuse an order where we suspect fraud or resale.

Shipping and risk of loss

Orders ship frozen with dry ice, Monday through Wednesday, to the lower 48 states only. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and carrier delays are outside our control.

Because product condition on arrival is our responsibility, our guarantee below covers thawed or damaged deliveries regardless of who caused the delay. You do not need to return anything for a claim.

Our guarantee

If any part of your order falls short, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it, your choice. This is intended to be simple and we do not require you to ship product back.

The guarantee covers product quality and delivery condition. It does not cover orders sent to an incorrect address supplied at checkout, or deliveries left unclaimed after a successful carrier attempt.

Memberships

Memberships bill automatically at the cadence you select until you cancel. You can skip, pause, reschedule, change cadence, swap boxes, or cancel at any time from the Member Portal.

Changes take effect on the next unbilled shipment. Once an order has been billed and shipped it is treated as a normal order under the guarantee above. There is no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee.

Pop-up markets

Pop-up inventory is first come, first served and sells out. Scheduled dates, times, and locations can change with weather or logistics, so please check the locations page before travelling.

Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the site, attempt to access other customer accounts or data, scrape content at scale, or use the site to break the law. We may suspend access where we see this happening.

Intellectual property

The Backyard Butchers name, logo, site design, photography, and written content belong to us and may not be reused commercially without written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Our products are food. Please follow the storage and cooking guidance we provide, including cooking to safe internal temperatures.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place an order is the version that applies to it.
